1. Who is responsible for your data

C Gastronomie Middle East Catering L.L.C - S.P.C, 3801, 38th Floor, Addax Office Tower, Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is the controller of the personal data collected through this website.

2. What we collect

When you order, we collect your name, your email address, your telephone number, your delivery address, the contents of your order, and your delivery instructions. Where you tell us about a food allergy, we collect that information too.

When you browse the site, we collect technical data through cookies: pages visited, device, browser, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

We do not collect or store your card details. Card data is collected directly by Stripe on its own systems.

3. Why we use it

We use your data to take, prepare, deliver and invoice your order, to contact you about that order, to meet our tax and accounting obligations, to handle complaints, to protect against fraud, and to improve the site.

We send marketing emails only where you have asked to receive them. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect the messages we must send you about an order.

4. Allergy information

Where you tell us about a food allergy, we treat that information as sensitive. It is used only to prepare and deliver your order safely, it is visible only to the people who need it in the kitchen and in delivery, and it is not used for marketing.

5. Who we share it with

We share your data only with those who need it to deliver your order: our payment provider Stripe, our e-commerce platform Shopify, our invoicing provider Order Printer Pro, our delivery scheduling provider Pickeasy, our delivery drivers, and our accountants and auditors. Each acts under contract and may use the data only for the purpose we set.

We disclose data to a public authority where the law requires it.

6. Where your data is held

Shopify, Stripe, Order Printer Pro and Pickeasy host data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the European Union and the United States. Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 permits a transfer outside the United Arab Emirates where the destination provides an adequate level of protection or where appropriate contractual safeguards are in place. We rely on the contractual terms of each provider.

7. How long we keep it

Order and invoice data is kept for the period required by UAE tax and commercial law, which is at least 5 years from the end of the relevant tax period. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. Technical browsing data is kept for 14 months.

8. Your rights

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 you may ask for access to your data, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be erased, ask that its processing be restricted, object to its processing, ask to receive it in a portable form, and withdraw a consent you have given.

9. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to make the site work, including the basket and the checkout. We also use analytics cookies and, where you consent, marketing cookies. You can set your preferences in the cookie banner and change them at any time from the link in the footer.

10. Children

The site is not intended for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
